Lynda Guthrie

Lynda’s interest in Africa began as a child reading about her late grandparents who were medical missionaries in the Belgian Congo in 1901. After working as a non-profit administrator for more than 30 years, she celebrated her retirement in 2005 & 2006 by trekking in Nepal, living six months in Chile and six months in Africa. The latter included eight weeks in Tanzania working with WEECE. Lynda returned Africa in 2009 as a member of the Friends of WEECE Board of Directors. Currently, Lynda lives in Healdsburg, California, works part-time for an historic preservations organization, serves on the Board of a local medical clinic, is active in AAUW and loves reading, hiking, watching grandchildren grow up and traveling whenever possible.
